To promote professionalism and fairness in Taiwan’s road cycling races, our company, together with Chinar International and QingXiang International, established the Neutral Service Support Division in 2025. With professional Neutral Service Cars and technical crews, we are committed to enhancing race flow and raising the level of competition.
What is a Neutral Service Car?
A Neutral Service Car is provided by the organizer or sponsoring brands. Its defining feature is neutrality — it does not belong to any team but instead serves all participating riders, helping reduce the impact of resource inequality on race outcomes.
Functions & Missions
- Spare Wheels: Immediate replacement in case of a flat tire, preventing unnecessary withdrawals.
- Spare Bicycles: Riders can swap to a fully equipped bike in case of serious mechanical issues.
- On-Road Repairs: Mechanics can quickly adjust derailleurs, brakes, or fix minor mechanical problems during the race.
Professional Setup
- Wheelsets in multiple sizes and specifications (including disc and rim brakes, different cassette ratios).
- Several spare bikes covering common rider heights and setups.
- A full set of tools and experienced mechanics on board.
How It Works
Multiple Neutral Service Cars are usually deployed throughout a race, positioned at the front, middle, and back of the peloton. When an incident occurs, referees or race radio will dispatch the nearest car to provide immediate support, minimizing downtime and keeping the race flow intact.
Why It Matters
In high-intensity, fast-changing road races, Neutral Service Cars are crucial for ensuring fairness and race continuity. Even teams or individual riders without large-scale resources can receive equal support in case of mechanical issues, preventing them from being forced out of the competition due to resource limitations.
Conclusion
With the establishment of the Neutral Service Support Division in 2025, we aim to provide professional logistics and neutral support that bring Taiwan’s cycling races closer to international standards, creating a fairer and more reliable competitive environment for all riders.
